The Roots Of The Institutionalization

We devote to research the historical and social institutionalization of nursing education in the municipality of Uberaba, Minas Gerais, founded on political and macro character of local policies. Data obtained from primary sources were derived from statements of social agents involved in creating the school. Secondary sources involved visits to the Public Archives, documents of the interviewees, school information and newspapers. Aimed at the juncture of the institutionalization of nursing education, we observed that the emergence of movements that occurred towards the staff of a university, led by Mario Palmerio. The support of other institutions and public involvement also was required. Is emphasized that the legal requirements of the entities class and an inner ambition were added to the roots of institutionalization.
