This is a historical documentary research aims to describe and analyze the changes in the teaching of the disciplines of humanities and social sciences, in undergraduate nursing education between 1972 and 1994. Use as primary sources written documents related to rules on higher education in nursing and will be used as secondary sources information from the literature commented on the matter. In the data analysis will be performed reading of sources, organizing the collection and storage in databases, then, would be held seeking to identify such categories of analysis to respond to the proposed objective
