The nurses and nursing in the Victorian era in the work of Anne Perry

The police fiction literature always has been interested in the relationship between the society and nursing in general and with women nurses in particular. This article is aiming to analyze the conception of nurse and nursing in the Victorian period of England. This is a qualitative study, which adopted the documentary research (police authored four books of Anne Perry) as a method of analysis. The results show that there were attempts to promote change in hospitals and the attitude of the nurses, and where the contributions and influences of Florence Nightingale are
striking. Begins to assert itself at this time, a conception of modern nursing system guided by principles, a model of teaching and the art of caring "(1:807). In this context, the impact of health reform that took place in the Victorian England seems to have been decisive for socially affirming the utility of nursing.
