Introduction: this is a facsimile of the application for admission to the Graduate Program in Public Health Nursing, available at the School of Nursing from the Federal University of Minas Gerais, during the 1980s. Results: this period is one of strong movement towards the organization of the Health Reform, which had its ápex with Law 8.080/1990. Conclusion: this source is one more, among many, that public health nursing acts and intervenes in a qualified way, especially during a pandemic period.
